Is it possible to customize font (color, bold) in the email Templates?

We generally migrate projects two times a week on specific days/times, so the email notifications to migrators are not closely looked at until migration day.  However, we have created a new notification for when a project (script) has a need for an immediate run.  I know I can change the Subject line, but is there any way to add color/boldness so that is stands out among the many we receive?

Phire sends email using a plain text format. You can change Phire to send email using HTML format with a relatively simple customization. But unfortunately, you cannot force font/color changes into the subject line – email systems only deal with that in plain text, as far as we have seen.

The email body can be sent HTML format with a relatively easy change to the SendMail command in the PeopleCode. The next trick is to change the email template in Phire to contain HTML tags and “
” line breaks so that it renders correctly in HTML and contains the format changes that you desire.

Remember that any customization made to Phire must be managed and reapplied during future application upgrades. So be sure that the requirement is worth the development and maintenance effort involved.

If you have any further questions about this option or would like some more specific guidance, please contact us at support@phire-soft.com.
